"Object" And Chinese Contemporary Sculpture

An “object” is anything that has a fixed shape or form that you can touch or see, and that is not alive. As mentioned in the paper,"object" is anything that people make in the process of production and living. This kind of "object" as the theme of the sculpture can be defined as "object sculpture".According to the study of the era in China, I try to researching China contemporary sculpture of objects by analysis of inherent pursuit, means of artistic expression and significance. We can investigate the causes and significance of object sculpture in contemporary sculpture, combined with the private emotion and public in the materialized society, especially from the practicality, metaphorical perspective. Trying to understand how the sculptors express emotion and artistic conception by diverting, reforming and reshaping of objects which is epochal and symbolic. With this kind of sculpture as the breakthrough point, analysis the meaning of object sculpture by creation theme, language and expression of ideas on Chinese contemporary sculpture.
