Susan Sontag is hailed as "a true specimen of intellectuals" and "the conscienceof the American public", who proposed "Against Interpretation","Aesthetics ofSilence","Camp Aesthetics","Pornographic Art", and "Aesthetics of Disease" and soon a series of new sensibility aesthetics. These series of Aesthetic Ideology aroused agreat attention in the academic, for her non-system of aesthetics, many researchersmade a systematically and a summary research for the whole thought of Sontag, andachieved remarkable results.However, the researches on its "aesthetics of silence" thought are more confinedin origins of philosophy ideology, and made the whole ideology of Sontag theintrinsic link of integrity research. But it does not adequately combine the presentsituation and problems with the specific regional cultural development to research andanalysis. For this situation, this article is based on deeply into overall intensity level ofthinking to research the "Aesthetics of Silence ", contemplating the current creation ofculture and people’s aesthetic value orientation. Analyze the trend of contemporaryChinese social culture and the problems in the development of literary and artisticproduction, especially the cultural phenomenon which violated the law of "aestheticsof silence" and make it as breakthrough point in this thesis; using the "aesthetic ofsilence" ideological and theoretical to analyze the strategy and effect, and apply theirstrategies and effectiveness of operation to guide the production of literary culture, tocreate a artistic context truly useful for the development of Chinese literature andcultural, attempt to seek and reconstruct harmonious and new aesthetic way whichconsistent with the contemporary public’s aesthetic tastes and maintain mainstreamcultural development of Chinese culture. Both explore its richness of the scope andimpact of it, and make it to play the positive effect, to develop a new studybreakthrough point for comprehensive understanding of Sontag’s aesthetic of silenceideology.
