The sculptures of Huo Qubing Tomb in Maoling are considered as the most famousworks in the history of Chinese sculpture. The style of the characteristics is rough、simple and powerful so that people today has taken them as the begin of Chineseenvironmental sculpture. This paper attempts to a synthesis of the literature and theinterpretation of style, putting forward the following views：The formation of thestyle of the sculptures of Huo Qubing Tomb is not because the fetters of productivityor just to echo the theme to burial, but the consciously pursuit of simple and natural.This aesthetic view is a part of the Chinese culture spirit from the very old ages, andit also has a profound significance to the future.
