This thesis is about Herta Muller, who has been awarded the2009Nobel Prize in literature. Based on demonstrating her cultural identity and creation characteristic of margin, I will explore further the contents and creative features. The main body content is to discuss marginal subject and marginal writing strategy of her works.The main body of this article is mainly divided into five parts:The first part is introduction to combine and divide the period of her works, demonstrating the value of writers and their works, summarizing the research status of writers, defining the research content of this paper and proposing research methods of this thesis.The second part is about her exiled life and marginal writing. Traced the source of the theory of it, the concept of marginal writing origined from postcolonial history, but it has a long development history in Europe and developed from European exiled literature.The third part is about marginal cultural identity of Herta Muller. Cultural identity of Herta Muller experienced the change from conscious marginalization to forced marginalization. Marginal cultural identity and gender culture identity contributed to her anxiety of cultural identity and mixed characteristics on creation.The forth part is about the theme of marginalization. The protagonists of her works experienced oppression in his native and left home to exotic places to pursue freedom and home, but they just felt loness and incompatible of dominant society, so they had to leave for finding country. Herta Muller illustrates the plight of the displaced people in her works.The fifth part is about the use of her marginal writing strategy. The use of marginal writing strategy of Herta Muller is expressed in three ascepts, autobiographical writing contructing individual narrative system; combing the fragment of language and structure; the use of metaphor resulting in the "loss" of readers.
