In the late Qing Dynasty, the social situation is characterized by turbulence and in tranquility.The complex socio-cultural background and its economic, political and other various subjectiveand objective factors promote the change of the Aesthetic trend of Calligraphy and it alsopromotes the great revival of the Stele theory of Qing dynasty. Limitation of calligraphy itself,so epigraphy in Qing Dynasty has its own advantage which replaced the popular calligraphyhabit. The Stele theory of Qing dynasty, which is different from the traditional calligraphy artform was Popular. In order to conform to the trend of the times and cater to the audience’saesthetic interest, all the art people started abandoned for the clinical study of stele because itinfluenced by the aesthetic trend of epigraphy in Qing Dynasty. So, the system of Chinesecalligraphy aesthetic ideology has a great change. Chinese calligraphy stele school calligraphy,style, with its heavy, plain alternate replaces the calligraphy aesthetic light, elegant. Since theancient times, the painting and calligraphy theories and practice has proved the affinity ofcalligraphy and painting, the realm of painting response sensitively to the changes in the field ofcalligraphy. Wu Changshuo, as a modern Chinese painting groundbreaking performance artmaster, the esthetic thought of Stele theory is successfully applied to the Chinese traditionalpainting. He stood on the intersection of history, gathered the charm of the traditional and thespirit of the time, and formed his own original painting style. This reference and recreate notonly greatly expand traditional Chinese ink painting language and other artistic forms, and evenextend it to spiritual levels. Wu Changshuo’s successful practice which" draw calligraphy intopainting" has a great influence on the development of Chinese traditional painting, and it stillhas a very important research significance now.This thesis is divided into three major components: the first part focuses on the summary ofthe Stele theory of Qing dynasty and put forward the argument, expounds the development andtheory of the Stele theory of Qing dynasty put forward the transition process and its aestheticthoughts and reason. The second most emphasized on the change of the aesthetic tide of theStele theory of Qing dynasty has affect on Wu Changshuo’s painting style. In this section, Idivided Wu’s time complete social background and his life experience into three stages for abrief introduction: they are the early time, the mid-time and the later time. Then respectivelyfrom the calligraphy of brushwork, ink presentation, art of composition and artistic conceptthese four parts detailed analysis the Wu’s calligraphic under influence of the Stele theory.Finally, I will focus on the analysis of influence of the Stele theory of Qing dynasty aestheticthoughts of Wu Changshuo painting, from the " artistic conception "and "potential", conversionof the painting brush, use of color, shape and composition as well as from the prefaces and postscripts and stone art aspects explore epigraphy Book wind on the Wu Changshuo paintingeffects and then prove argument, this a small part of it is the focus of this chapter, is also thefocus of this article. Third parts of article are as the summary, which analyzes the greatinfluence Wu Changshuo’s "drawing calligraphy into painting" on Chinese traditional paintingand realistic significance.
