A Study On The Phonetics

Panshi city is located in the central and southern Jilin province of Jilin city,85kmwide from east to west.It is located in the songliao plain to Changbai mountain area,and belongs to the hills mid-levels district. With its unique geographical location, inthe process of the development of long-term formed its unique historical and culturalenvironment, including their own dialects. Although there is no big difference amongNorthwest Mandarin dialect in phonology, it is more required us to pay attention toNorthwest Mandarin dialect internal small differences.Through access to all aspectsof the data,we found the results of vocabulary research of Jilin province are obvious,very little research on the phonology.In order to be able to gain a betterunderstanding of Northeast Mandarin dialect within specific differences,we willexplore the phonetic features of Panshi which is in the unique geographic position.First,we described and interpreted the sound system of Panshi inparticular.Then we inductived that except zero consonant，there are20initials,37finals, four same category with mandarin in Panshi dialect. And based on this,wesort out the table of Panshi syllables.At the same time, we found18unique literaryand colloquial readings words.Then we introduced the tone sandhi and the phonology evolution in Panshidialect,described and explained the words that have different tones frommandarin.Some words’pronunciation in Panshi dialect is not only a tone haschanged.Even the initials and finals are different,have a very big difference frommandarin.So we listed37words which have the changed pronunciation and analyzedthe reasons from various aspects.At last,considering that the pronunciation of inatials zhi zhuang zhang and jingqing xin of the three generations(the elderly, the Middle-aged,the young) of Panshihas been significantly different, we made a social investigation report indetail.Through the investigation, we summarized the three generations of thepronunciation have its own characteristics. The elderly ignore the difference of post-alveolar consonants and retroflex consonants；the Middle-aged treat group[?]and group [t?] as the same,and they prefer group [?];the young arestronglyinfluenced by cultural education,and mostly error rate is very low.But thereare exceptions,This may be related to the difference in education between rural andurban youth when they were young.
