This paper takes the original stories of Ci-poems written by literati in Song Dynasty on as the object of the research, through which we can see the linear process of Ci-poem’s respectful style in Song Dynasty, and discuss some of its theoretical issues. The original stories of Ci-poems written by literati in Song Dynasty is some kind of documents which have the strongest ties with the Ci-poems of Song Dynasty, and contain literati’s true thought of the Ci-poem. The concept of Ci-poem’s respectful style was put forward by critics in the research of Ci-poem in Qing Dynasty, but the phenomenon of its gradual development does existed in Song Dynasty. The writing style of original stories of Ci-poems written by literati in Song Dynasty has its own evolvement trace which epitomizes the developing track of respectful style of Ci-poem in Song Dynasty. What’s more, by observing and studying the content of original stories of Ci-poems written by literati in Song Dynasty, the theoretical. issues out of the distinction will be clear and definite as well as will be discussed in depth.Since the theoretical study at present situation of researching on the original stories of Ci-poems written by literati in Song Dynasty is still in its infancy, and most researchers’knowledge of Ci-poem’s respectful style in Song Dynasty is still far from totally clear, so it is necessary to complete two fundamental works before entering the discussions about the original stories of Ci-poems written by literati and Ci-poem’s respectful style in Song Dynasty. Those are:firstly, determine the scope of documents which the concept of the original stories of Ci-poems written by literati in Song Dynasty refers to; secondly, make the basic knowledge clear, which is related to Ci-poem’s respectful style in Song Dynasty, and point out the uniqueness of Ci-poem’s respectful style in Song Dynasty in the whole history of the Ci-poem. These two fundamental works are the main task for the first chapter of this paper to complete. Chapter two draws the generating and developing track of respectful style of Ci-poem in Song Dynasty, which is from absence to presence and from undefined to, by and large, defined, by studying evolvement trace of scribal intentions in the literati’s mind when they were writing the original stories of Ci-poems, which went through arbitrariness and accidental to deliberation, then continue to, comparatively definite, intentions to spread the poems in means of spreading the stories and to make the poets remembered by the later generation by spreading their poems. Chapter four, five and six are studies on three theoretical issues of Ci-poem’s respectful style in Song Dynasty, respectively, regarding the original stories’contents. The studies on the three theoretical issues are:the first, by investigating the writing of those original stories of Ci-poems which focusing on flowery and sexual contents turns into true loves, makes the observation on how literati abandoned their moral prejudice of Ci-poem’s flowery and sexual attributes; the second, by observing and studying the political contents in original stories of Ci-poems, relates and analyzes how the traditional poetic impacts on literati’s sense of respectful style of Ci-poem in Song Dynasty; the third, by teasing those accidentally recorded or deliberately wrote contents about the musical attributes of Ci-poems in Song Dynasty, makes it clear that the sense of respectful style of Ci-poem of literati in Song Dynasty is of a kind of elegance in terms of overall which gave consideration to both maintaining Ci-poems’inherent quality of music and writing its literary language in a poetized way.
