It will not be a painting if there was no principle. It was important that hold the basis when drawing, spirit drive from principle, and spirit comes from principle, finally, enjoy people based on interesting, anything will not be allowed absence.In the processing of finish his own drawing theory by WangYuanqi spirit, principle and interesting is the expression of brushwork and the attention of dragon root were use for accomplish his work. Principle is the deep reflection of his brushwork and the dragon root. Wang Yuanqi paid much attention to brushwork and the using of dragon root, which included in principle. But in the dragon root, some Chinese painting suggested philosophy connotation. Although the purposes of principle spirit interesting were mentioned since the drawing theory, it was a reflection of neo-confucianism thought. The principle mentioned by Wang included heavenly principle, philosophical connotations and disposition, which has the same meaning of the school of platoic ideas and it was said that there is a interesting of principle and spirit logically.Spirit used for Wang’s theory, entire signals to everything in universe and the though in painter could expressed in the works. The painter’s spirit as rationaprinciplety to resist desires by internal cultivation, bright up noble spirit pursuit by Wangyuanqi. To express interesting, principle and spirit suffered a painting imprinting. The reflection of interesting, manifested by principle and interesting, is a ingenious reflection of principle interesting concept. Only interesting could affect viewers, and the obtain of interesting is a natural revelation directed by principle, noble spirit in one’s body, and also, it was the basis of interesting. To Wang, his works mainly expressed as poprincipleteness taste.In this study, wangspirityuan’s principle interesting is the main discussing object, the brush work and dragon root as the starting point, through his personaprinciplety, family learning and painting, the fusion of both condition of painting circle and thoughts in his period, analysis the implementation and neo-confucianism connotation of principle, spirit and interesting. This analysis also gives a new view to evaluating objectively. Although it is very often to seeing the critics, it is positive that the express method of in landscape painting in Song and Yuan dynasty by WangYuanqi spirit was summarized and played effectively, which is a big contribution to enrich painting art. The study of painting thoughts and theory of Wang could recognized his profound insight, which could give us a widen road to study Wang’s painting art objectively.
