In this paper, The storage system of Beijing and Tongzhou in the Qing Dynasty is the object.The granaries in Beijing and Tongzhou provided most food of Beijing officials, the Eight Banners, relief food and so on in the Qing Dynasty,so,the construction and management of the granaries is very important.From Shunzhi to Xuantong,the number of the granaries increased or reduced,this paper is concerned with eighteen big granaries,about their granary rooms,management and the important role it played in history.Beijing and Tongzhou warehouse system basically followed in the Ming dynasty,but it has some differents,for example, building materials, construction scale, grain number, extend object.To understand the capital’s grain storage and supply situationthe during the period of the Qing Dynasty, we must make clear the Beijing and Tongzhou of the Qing Dynasty has some new features.In the management, the Qing government followed the system of the Ming Dynasty, dedicated the management of the highest body--Beijing storage warehouse field governor’s office. Inspection Institute, the Ministry of Revenue in feudal China, The Eight Banners, the Ministry of Works in feudal China are involved to warehouse field management. Different with the previous dynasty, the warehouse management is divided into the Han and manchu. In the warehouse, under the control of the Warehouse supervision, there are some people who are responsible for doing the specific work, they are also in the warehouse management. Beijing and Tongzhou warehouse’s main function is affording food to officials, the Eight Banners and for poor relief,as well as the adjustment of the market.
