Purpose:To systematically evaluate the acupuncture with drug efficacy and safety of the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis. Material and method:Retrieval system of CNKI、Wanfang、VIP、CBM、Pub Med、 the Cochrane Library and the Cochrane Controlled Trials Register database. The retrieval period was up to December 2015.Randomized controlled trial of acupuncture combined with medicine and Western medicine alone in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis.By two system evaluation member independent extraction of information, in case of disagreement, please third party to help solution.Statistical analysis of data processing by using the Cochrane collaboration’s software Review Manager 5.3 software research data. Results:Included 19 randomized controlled trials, 1385 patients were treated, 729 cases in the experimental group and 656 cases in the control group.1.In the total efficiency, which has 18 articles mentioned in the total efficiency of the effective standard,Meta analysis,[OR=4.22,95%CI(3.03,5.87), P < 0.00001], there were statistically significant differences between the two groups.2.In terms of reducing inflammation, there are 10 articles mentioned in the literature to CRP as the curative effect standard, carries on the Meta analysis, [MD=-2.68,95%CI(-4.07,-1.29), P=0.0002], shows the difference between the two groups has statistical significance.Among them there are 11 articles referred to the ESR as the curative effect standard, Meta analysis, [MD=-5.77,95%CI(-8.31,-3.22), P<0.00001], show that the difference between the two groups has statistical significance.3.In the relief of axis function evaluation, which has 7 articles mentioned by BASDAI standard, Meta analysis, [MD=-1.15,95%CI(-1.90,-0.41), P=0.002], shows the difference between the two groups was statistically significant.Among them there are 8 articles referred to the BASFI as the curative effect standard, Meta analysis, [MD=-2.61,95%CI(-3.71,-1.52), P<0.00001], the results show that the difference between the two groups was statistically significant. There are 4 articles mentioned in the Schober test for the efficacy of the standard, Meta analysis. [MD=1.03,95%CI(0.10,1.96), P=0.03], the results showed that the difference between the two groups was statistically significant.Among them there are 7 articles mentioned in order to expand the chest for the curative effect standard, carries on the Meta analysis, [MD=0.87, 95%CI(0.39,1.34), P=0.0003], shows the difference between the two groups has statistical significance.Among them there are 2 references to the pillow wall distance as the standard of curative effect, Meta analysis, [MD=-0.72,95%CI(-1.95,0.50),P=0.25], showed that the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant. There are 4 references in the literature to refer to the distance as the standard of curative effect, Meta analysis, [MD=-3.69,95%CI(-5.13,-2.25), P <0.00001], the results show that the difference between the two groups was statistically significant.4.In terms of safety, there are 7 articles referred to the adverse reactions for the efficacy of the standard, [OR=0.28, 95%CI(0.13,0.61), P=0.001], show that the difference between the two groups was statistically significant. Conclusion:1.Acupuncture combined with drug is clinical efficacy of in treatment of ankylosing spondylitis.2.Acupuncture combined with drug therapy can effectively reduce the CRP and ESR in patients with ankylosing spondylitis.3.Acupuncture therapy can effectively alleviate ankylosing spondylitis patients with BASDAI, BASFI, chest and finger to floor distance.4.Acupuncture combined with drug therapy can effectively reduce the adverse reactions of ankylosing spondylitis patients, it is worth to be popularized in clinical use.
