Objective: To retrospectively analyze the clinical effect of open reduction and internal fixation with proximal femoral locking plate in the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures.Materials and methods: the 2013.1.1-2014.12.30 the patient underwent femoral proximal locking plate internal fixation for the treatment of 121 cases of intertrochanteric fracture patients were retrospectively analyzed, which 73 cases were male, 48 cases female, age: if years old, with an average age of 65.7, causing injury reason: falls flat in 78 cases, traffic accident in 34 cases, falling from height injury in 9 cases. Results: 104 cases were followed up for 6-17 months, an average of 11.5 months. 1 cases of postoperative wound infection, symptomatic anti-inflammatory treatment after healing, 1 cases of deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity rehabilitation, turn to the hospital after treatment, occurrence of hip varus in 2 cases, 2 cases of plate fracture, for early loading caused by fracture healing in 2 patients died of diseases in Department of internal medicine, the remaining patients had good recovery. Hip function recovery according to Harris score(out of 100 points), excellent(90 points) 82 cases, good(80~89) 13 cases, general(70~79 points) 7 cases, poor(70 points) 2 cases, excellent rate of 91.3%.Conclusion: proximal femoral locking plate fixation is a simple, effective, economic burden is relatively low, especially suitable for the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fracture between methods in primary hospital.
