In chronic respiratory disease, bronchial asthma is a common in all ages and different ethnic groups of diseases. Asthma is characterized by chronic airway inflammation, airway responsiveness to a variety of stimuli, a wide variety of reversible airflow limitation and airway remodeling following the course of the disease. Incidence and mortality rate increased year by year, and the incidence of asthma in different populations was between 1% and 18%.Because of the repeated attacks, it is difficult to cure and become a serious threat to human health. It’s a common concern and research topic for everyone. For the treatment of bronchial asthma, modern medicine is mainly anti-infection and symptomatic treatment. From the overall concept, with the syndrome differentiation and treatment, Traditional Chinese medicine with a variety of therapy have achieved good effect.My teacher, professor Xu Yanling,is famous doctor of Traditional Chinese medicine in Liaoning Province, she engaged in the clinical work for many years in the treatment of respiratory diseases and has rich clinical experience and unique academic opinion. She has a very deep attainments especially in the treatment of bronchial asthma, pulmonary interstitial disease, acute and chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and so on.This paper mainly includes two parts: experience summary and literature review.Experience summary: summing up the experience of the detailed description of Plato on bronchial asthma academic idea and clinical experience, including experience and characteristics of Plato and the cause of disease pathogenesis understanding and main points of syndrome differentiation of elaboration, for the treatment of asthma, and case analysis.Literature review includes three parts: first, according to the ancient literature, an overview of the Chinese understanding of asthma, including the name of disease, etiology,pathogenesis and treatment; second, with the combination of modern literature, summarize the research progress of Chinese medicine treatment of bronchial asthma, including modern medicine on bronchial asthma etiology and pathogenesis of understanding and treatment methods; third, summarizes the research progress.
