Chronic glomerulonephritis is a group of glomerular diseases with substantial damage to the kidney, the onset of occult, long course of disease, is also the most common cause of end-stage renal disease. Proteinuria is not only one of the main symptoms of chronic glomerulonephritis, but also an important indicator to diagnose and judge the curative effect of this disease. This paper is a retrospective study, to research and summarize the clinical experience of Professor Ma in treating chronic glomerulonephritis proteinuria, and use traditional Chinese medicine theory explaining its principle, method, prescription and medicine, concise academic thoughts, inherit clinical experience of treatment about this disease, to provide ideas for clinical treatment. Professor Ma believes that the cause of chronic glomerulonephritis proteinuria is due to both internal and external two factors; Its pathogenesis is based on the deficient function of body and exogenous pathogenic factors, and among all of the pathogenesis the deficient function of spleen and kidney, dampness-heat and blood stasis are most closely with it; The key to the pathogenesis is deficient function of spleen and kidney, the combination of dampness-heat and blood stasis. According to the treatment based on syndrome differentiation, using the methods of balancing the function of kidney’s yin and yang, benefiting spleen, dispersing the function of Lung Qi, therapeutic method of Tihu Jiegai, Qufeng Liyanjiedu, Soufeng tick pathogen, clearing away Heat-Removing Damp, activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis,securing and containing to avoiding reducing proteinuria and reducing the kidney damage were satisfied. In clinical practice, my advisor is good at combing nature of Chinese medicinal herbs with modern pharmacological research, following the principles about that, using herbs with astringent prevent helping pathogenic factors, using warming yang herbs avoid damaging to yin, using herbs with cold nature do not damaging to yang,regulating qi, recuperating both yin and yang, using drugs for invigorating blood circulation and tonics rationally, combing traditional Chinese and western medicine,is remarkable and has great originality, forming a complete system of treating this disease.
