Mobile Satellite Communication can be roughly divided into three kinds:GEO,MEOand LEO.Mobile Satellite Communication is the mainstream of satellite communication,which is not only the main communication means in future military battles, but alsothe target for thriving civilian satellite communication. It's one of the key problemsand what this paper aims to to connect the communication between earth station andsatellite, and accordingly develop automatic tracking means to make antenna point tothe satellite.The focuses on Mobile Satellite Communication are antenna tracking methodsand stabilization platforms.Firstly, this paper introduces how the antenna tracks and the platformcompensates in Mobile Satellite Communication, and some relevant apparatuses.Based on what have been introdued, a method by using two axeses to control antennato reach self stabilization, namely, using Forward feedback to alleviate the jump byroad, is put forward..Then,a simulation of the method ahead is made with someanalysises. In order to improve on the system response, PID controller is matchedwith fuzzy controller, which how to design is discussed in details. Finally, this paperdiscuss the common tracking methods, which are divided as three kinds: step tracking,taper scanning tracking and single pulse tracking, with their advantages anddisadvantages. A simple and effective method, namely Grads Tracking, is presentedwith its advantage of less requirement of receiver, being easily realized and no swayat maximam point. The Grads Tracking is achieved with software and hardware.The final experiment witnesses the feasibility of atenna racking with Grads.
