Orientation Estimation And Tensor Voting Algorithms And X Ray Imaging

This paper analyzes the algorithms of orientation estimation and tensor voting, and presents an algorithm for contour integration combining the two. Moreover, the saliency measure for junction detection is improved. It takes the fragmented edge from low level edge extraction algorithm as input, and gives smooth contour as output. It is robust to noise, and the validity is proved by the given experiments.Digital x-ray imaging diagnosis is currently of great interest compared to traditional screen-film system. A large area, flat-panel, direct digital x-ray imaging detector, which uses amorphous selenium (a-Se) alloy layer for detecting x-rays and thin film transistor (TFT) for reading out signal, stands out among digital x-ray imaging detectors. The analysis of this system is also included in this paper.
