The dynamic image of moving object offers more information than what single image can provide. Through analysis of many frames of image, we can gain information which we cannot get from single image. Image recognition and tracking of moving object is a process of detecting-recognition-tracking, which is based on dynamic image analysis and combine methods of image recognition and image tracking.This article chooses the moving object as the target. It puts forward a method which carry out image recognition and tracking on moving object in the simple background and makes comparison and study on algorithm of object recognition and tracking. It makes progress on algorithm of image preprocessing, image segmentation, feature extracting, image recognition, tracking and predicting, which is based on analysis of system error. During image recognition, it improves the traditional filter algorithm using correlative information between adjacent windows, and enhances real-time property. What's more, this article combines Otsu and self-adaptive threshold segmentation and apply it to image segmentation, then gets better effect. This article also makes simulation and programming on kinds of algorithms ,and optimize the last chosen algorithm, which make the programming compact and reliable , it enhances the stability and the real-time property greatly .At the same time, it makes a study on window adapting algorithm which is used to track moving object and enhances the tracking precision furthermore. The experimental results indicate the algorithms operate quickly and meet the command of real-time property, and simple to be realized through hardware. What's more, when object is sheltered for a brief time, it still can make predicting and tracking on moving object, and it achieves the prospective effect.
