With the development of photo-electronic technology, computer technology, and multimedia technology, an increasing number of multimedia products combined with the optical, mechanical, electrical functions, become much more popular with the common families, a case in point is digital image products. The digital image products, symbolized as digital cameras and digital video cameras, have got a fantastic spurt in recent years, so has the quantity of digital images. Then the quality of digital image becomes the paramount thing to digital image producers and common consumers. Considering lacking quantitative evaluating methods of the digital image quality now, in order to improve the evaluating efficiency and unify the evaluating guideline, this paper is to bring forward a personal evaluating model after a deep research into the digital image color error and image sharpness detection technology, then furnishing with the relative detection method as an icing on the cake.The main work of the paper covers:1 .In order to overcome the confines of common methods of evaluating digital image color error, we found the relationship between the color error of digital image and its distribution characteristics of chrominance through experimentations, and the paper is to bring forward the color error evaluating arithmetic based on color error factor. Meanwhile, a new digital image color error evaluating approach is offered.2.In order to ensure both the evaluating performance and the calculating efficiency, the paper introduced the Absolute Central Moment of image which is similar to the evaluating performance of energy variance technique to evaluate the sharpness of digital image, and a new image sharpness evaluation model based on the image absolute central moment is presented through high-pass filtering technology. Then on this basis, a digital image sharpness evaluating method is implemented.3.On the basis of the given sharpness and color error evaluating models, the paper designed and realized the color error and sharpness detection techniques which can be used in digital camera production lines and real images.The result of experimentations shows this evaluating system can enhance the control ability of the product quality for digital imaging device producer, and build an evaluating platform for common consumers to know the imaging quality of relativeproducts.
