Fingerprint Verification is new technology developed rapidly in recent years which uses the character to verify the identification. AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) is an applied system facing identification field, followed by the development of the Fingerprint Verification technology. In this dissertation, the Fingerprint Verification technology is applied to the LAN logging-on system and it is used to identify the users.Firstly, the state of the Fingerprint Verification technology development is analyzed and the frame of total designing is introduced. Secondly, the three parts of this system: fingerprint verification, network communications, database are discussed in detailed and the designations are offered, the theory and method of fingerprint verification system are discussed in detailed, and the communication theory, code and results of the network communications system are offered, and the insert, find, delete operation are introduced in the third part, database system. The system software is constructed with Visual C++ programming language, programmed in module, there are client, server, database, save modules to realize the system. Finally, the system testing results and technical points for further works are presented in this thesis.
