With the rapid development of information technology, internet technology and. advanced teaching patterns, intelligent computer-aided instruction develops continuously. Problem-based learning is applied to education area broadly which is a kind of instruction patterns. It is a hotspot how applies the instruction pattern to network-instruction by using computer and network technology. Computer supported problem-based learning system is one of the important branches of intelligent computer-aided instruction. Researching in learning space of PBL is significant to realizing computer supported problem-based learning system.This paper expatiates computer-supported PBL system and investigates PBL learning space, which is an important part of the system. According to the characteristics of the learning process of PBL, this paper divides the learning space into three spaces. The three spaces are problem space, information space, and answer space. They not only function independently, but also interact The research of the three spaces of PBL includes the description of the model of the three spaces in the PBL system, the formalized description of the contents of the model, the presentation and processing of learning space's database with XML in the PBL learning process, the generation of learning group's answer-tree to goal-problem from individual students' answer-tree, and designing problem-database platform and interactive information platform.This paper maintains that the division of learning space can promote the realization of computer supported PBL, enhance students' interest in learning, improve their learning efficiency, and promote their ability to solve problems.
