This paper expounds the fact Windows2000 Server platform Oracle systematicparameter of database optimized and realized, analyzes all of performanceproblems that often occur in applications. Base on these, it gives a detaildescription on adjusting the structure of practical program, adjusting the parametersof operating system, optimizing the network, and analysis of SQL language, and soon. It realized the turning from C/S architecture to C/S-B/S architecture during theadjustment of structure of practical program.Tuning for Database Server includesthe tuning for memory and I/O of disk. In order to tuning memory, we give a detaildescription how to adjust SGA to improve the sharing for memory; and thecontention about I/O by reasonable distribution of physical and logical structure,adjusting the storing of data, using of RAID technique, the optimizing for rollbacksegment and redo log. The tuning of application programs mainly introducesanalysis and design about SQL language. When it discusses the optimizing of thenetwork, this paper simply introduces some ways to reduce the flow on network.
