Metal cutting is one of the most important methods of workpiece machining in mechanical. So, how to improve machining efficiency and lower the cost of machining is one of the important task explored and studied for a long time by machinists. This system can look up quickly the information of cutting tools such as machining data and geometric parameter so on and provide counseling to worker. Selecting correctly the parameter of the cutting tools is an important means of what improve machining efficiency and lower the cost of machining in the process of machining. In the process of traditional select of cutting tools it is can not meet the demand of accuracy that the parameter of cutting tools are determined according experience of master workers. On the basis of a comprehensive exposition and analysis of the basic principles, the algorithm and varied pattern features of Artificial neural network, and on the basis of exposition of the basic principles of Fuzzy Mathematics this thesis combines Fuzzy Mathematics and Artificial neural network and develop the cutting database system based on Fuzzy neural. This paper introduce date management of system. The date of system is made up of four parts: database of cutting data, database of resources, database of knowledge, database of users. Each part was explain through examples. Simulation experiment prove that this system can optimize the selection of parameter of cutting tools such as material, geometric parameter, construct and cutting parameter of cutting tools. Compare with traditional the database system of cutting tools, this system simplify the process of counting parameter because this system adopt Fuzzy reasoning and Artificial neural network, and enhance knowledge reasoning and knowledge study. It cause to improve precision of parameter of cutting tools , quicken the speed of disposal of the database system. Application of this system not only extend the service life of cutting tools but also increase work efficiency of worker.
