DOA estimation and localization of radiating source using sensors array has become a hot and difficult topic in signal processing domain, and has wide applications in radar, passive sonar, seismology, astronomy, physical geography, microphone array, video conference, satellite and mobile communication system, so attracts great attention in recent years.Based on array signal processing technology, the dissertation gives deterministic maximum likelihood direction finding algorithm, sub-space direction finding algorithm based on cumulants matrix eigen-decomposition, two-dimensional angles estimation and time-spatial spectrum estimation. The major research work of the dissertation is as follows:1) The dissertation founds DOA estimation mathematical model, gives theconcepts related with DOA estimation, depicts the current status of the technology and points out the problems.2) The dissertation derivate the cost function of deterministic maximum likelihood direction finding algorithm, gives simple optimization methods-alternating projection algorithm and genetic algorithm, and compare the performance of the algorithms by simulation.3) The dissertation generalizes sub-space direction finding algorithm from covariance domain to cumulants domain, which makes the algorithm restrain Gaussian white and color noise and have the ability to extend array aperture.4) Based on UCA and ULA mode, the dissertation gives the two-dimensional angles estimation and time-spatial spectrum estimation algorithms.
