Fiber grating is another important milestone in the history of optical fiber communication after erbium-doped fiber amplifier. With the improvement of fiber grating fabrication technology, fiber grating is one of the most promising and representative passive optical fiber devices. It makes many complicated all optical communication and sensing network into being, meanwhile, greatly extends applied realms of optical fiber technology. Thus, the studies on theory and application of fiber gratings become very important.As a new optical apparatus, long period fiber gratings (LPFGs) have been playing an important role and been widely used in the fields of optical communication and optical fiber sensing. In this article, setting out from the practical angle, combining the existing method, a new technique is put forward for LPFGs fabrication. In the method, a high frequency and voltage electron accelerator is used to write LPFGs. As a result, more than one LPFG can be written simultaneously. The craft of the fabrication is much simpler, lower cost and more practical than the traditional method.
