Recognition And Classification Of Japanese Business Card

Business cards contain many useful information of a person. It's a prevalent action for two persons to exchange business cards when they first meet. It becomes more important to conserve and manage the business cards when the cards held by persons become more and more. The business cards can be roughly compartmentalized to two kinds: bilingual languages and one language. Japanese business cards belong to the first kind. To the recognizing system, the first problem to deal with is the mixed languages recognition problem. The question of the mixture of Japanese and English languages is also one of the questions of printing recognition. This thesis proposes an integration scheme to Japanese Business Card recognition based on "Proper Adjustment". In order to recognition rate a Post-Processing module is based. In information classification module the theory of data structure is applied and the module realizes efficient information classification.This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the background of this thesis and my works. It also briefly introduces the designing of the whole system. In the second part, the technique of the pretreatment and the line syncopation of the business cards are briefly introduced. The third part introduces the technique of designing and realizing of recognizing information in detail. The fourth part introduces the technique of designing and realizing of information classification in detail. The last part is the conclusion and expectation.
