In the 21st century, the network and information construction change with eachpassing day, the security of the network and information etc. is the focus problem allalong. As the key and foundation of information security, PKI technology throughthe digital certificate which issuered by Certificate Authority (CA), provides thesecurity of the Confidentiality, Integrality, Authentication and Non-repudiation onthe network. How should PKI system interconnect and interflow better, which inorder to meet the needs of operating each other among CA and End Entities, thissubject matter studied by the trust model of PKI. How to choose the suitable trustmodel is an essential step of PKI constructing and operation, and is the basicdecision when PKI deploy too.This paper introduces the background and meaning of research at first. Whatproblems the trust model in PKI deals with and the necessity of research arediscussed in it. Then introduces PKI rudimentary knowledge and main componentsand function; This paper analyzes and compares several extant CA-based trustmodel, points out their advantages and disadvantages respectively, proposes a newmodel called Path Agent Bridge Trust Model, and makes analysis its advantages,especially discusses its path construction. Finally, makes summary to this new model,and makes prospect of its future research direction.The innovations of this thesis are summarized into two points. Firstly, theauthor proposed the concept of path agent bridge trust model (PABTM), whichutilizes the path agent server to construct and store the path information in advance.Then the complicated path construction problem turn into the question of pathinformation inquire. Secondly, in the construction of the trust path of PABTMintra-area mesh trust model, utilize one of the spanning tree algorithm, transform thecomplicated netted trust path and memory, optimize the structure of the mesh modeltrust path. Two points these can raise efficiency of path construction in bridge trustmodel, solve the difficult problem of path construction, realize the optimization oftraditional bridge trust model in PKI.
