The Application In Image Enhancement Processing By Genetic Algorithms

As a intelligent optimization algorithms, genetic algorithms (GA) has been applied widely and perfectly in many study fields and engineering areas. For image enhancement is a basic operation of image processing, and it will be not only experiment applying genetic algorithm for image enhancement. In this paper, a new and normalization intensity curve transform function is constructed in spatial detain enhancement, and it carries out image self-adaptive enhancement by the designed genetic algorithms. In the primary design of applying GA: coding with real number is adopted; A heuristic operator toward the best is imported in the crossover and mutation operation. Programs are all compiled in the Windows 2000 by Matlab7.0. The result of run experiment shows that it is better by GA than the traditional algorithm, but it can be not strong in processing a bad unbalanced intensity image in local.
