This text has summed up the current situation of the development of the domestic and international fiber-optic electric current sensor, aim at the question existed of the traditional electric current measure equipment at present that electric power system adopt, studied and designed a new kind of fiber-optic electric current sensors. Design of Sensing head is based on magnetostrictive effect, the interferometer adopts of Fabry-Perot interferometer structure. Succeed in measuring the large electric current of simulation in the laboratory, analyzed the result of the test and test the error. Experimental result indicates the sensor that this article design has the advantages of simple-structure, high-sensitivity, low-price, easy to practical application, there is extensive using value in the power system.
