With the rapid development of network technology, the spread and duplication of digital multimedia information, including text, image, audio and video etc, become more and more convenient. Information share is promoted through network, but at the same time, copyright protection of digital media is becoming a problem. To solve this problem, the digital watermarking technique has been investigated. It accomplishes the aim of copyright protection by imperceptibly embedding special information into digital media was protected. As an important measure to copyright protection, digital watermarking technology has obtained widely research and application.In this dissertation, digital watermarking technology of image was researched. Two meaningful watermarking algorithms was proposed based on wavelet domain. Meaningful watermark has remarkable merits compares with pseudo random sequences. Extracted watermark can directly judge whether there is a watermark or not in the watermarked Image.A robust watermarking algorithm based on DWT and HVS was proposed. We applied human visual model based on wavelet domain to embed watermark. The meaningful binary image was adaptively embedded in the original image. The processing of embedding and extracting watermark is simple. Experiment results show the watermarking system is effective to common image processing operation, such as median filtering, noise pollution, compression, cropping etc.A grayscale-image watermarking algorithm based on DWT was proposed.
