Since 1980, the function of tight support regularity was constructed by Mayer in the need of engineering Application, which lead the international study of wavelets. Because of low memory, having fast algorithm and the ability of dealing with transient signal, wavelets developed fast in theory and application.Edge is the import feature of Unregular structure and non-stationary signal in image, it gives the profile and usually take lots of information, which is the most concernful feature of image recognition. So the edge detection is the first and basic stage in image processing. The result of detection will directly influence the accuracy of recognition.Because of diversity of image and noise level, how to detect the interested edge is still an open question, which didn't setup a math model and have not uniform processing ways up to now. In this paper the technique of edge detection is studied by means of wavelets. chapter one is preface; In chapter two, the theory of wavelet was studied; and Lipschitz regularity is discussed in chapter three, which is foundation of edge detection based on margin; finally, Operator of edge detection related to multi-scale is studied and in different scale wavelet transformation was used to the segmentation of noised image, two methods, which are edge detection of based on threshold and based on energy shift product, is discussed.
