Design Of The Computer Network Telephone System Based On AMBE Algorithm

Along with the popularization of computers, computer network has been one of the most necessary office tools in many fields. However, Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is engaged in telephone communication now, by which have to pay much for the telephone fee and occupy amount of each department cost. If the telephone communication system is implemented by using the existing computer network, we can save much telephone fee and the device and project fee for building programming control switch network, and shorten the fixing period, and improve Internet utilization.The computer network telephone system is implemented basing on AMBE speech compression algorithm in this paper; On the basis of the whole design, the network telephone terminal is contrived including the hardware design and the software programming by C51; The network communication protocol is established, and the network system software is programmed in Microsoft VC++6.0 and SQL Server 2000; AMBE algorithm, with a high compression rate, is adopted. This algorithm apply to speech compression after being analyzed, which bring the increase of the users in each network telephone terminal; The anti-jamming method is used to improve the system reliability; Finally, the computer network system is accomplished after debug and experiment.Telephone communication is implemented using the existing computer network in this system. AMBE compression algorithm is adopted and we get the high compression rate, nice tone quality and more users in one terminal. As amount of device fee for telephone network construction and line fee and project fee are saved, the computer network telephone system will have a widely future.
