With the development of computer science and communication technology, information security was becoming more and more important, and the security of OS (Operating System) is very necessary for computer security. Encrypted file system and trusted recovery are two important technologies for improving the security of OS, and this paper makes a deep research on them. The main achievements of this paper include the folio wings:Firstly, this paper introduces the importance of encrypted file system to secure OS. Based on the analysis and study on the traditional encrypted file systems, this paper provides a new encrypted file system design scheme, according to the working principle of Linux loop device. This new encrypted file system overcomes traditional systems' shortcomings of incomplete protection and low performance.Secondly, this paper introduces the importance of research on trusted recovery for top level secure OS design, and discusses some key questions in trusted recovery design, studies and summarizes the existent recovery technologies, studies the recovery mechanisms of some typical OS. This paper provides a design scheme of trusted recovery, and provides the idea of transactional file system.The paper's achievements provide technology and experience for the research on high-level secure OS, and do a great help for the development of secure OS.
