Computer Simulation is an eidetic imitation by computer for physical process, system structure and social economy development. Up building system model and running and studying it on computer, which bring modern model studying revolutionary change about methodology and tools. The base of Computer Simulation is numerical calculation theory. Based on mathematical model of system, simulational program is worked out to imitate actual object. After combination of numerical simulation, computer image and visualization technique, the apply area of computer simulation widen and the tempo quicken.Strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) is a type of Inertial Navigation Systems. Compared with Platform inertial navigation system, strapdown inertial navigation system has the advantages of low volume, low weight, low cost and high reliability. Strapdown inertial navigation system leads the trend of Inertial Navigation Systems.In this paper, the main computer simulation methods and the principle of SINS navigation are introduced. According to the principle of SINS, it calculates and simulates the observations of SINS through prearranged track, simulates the process of alignment. To develop the SINS navigation simulator, which is similar to the real-system at the aspects of time and structure by using modern simulating technology, is significantly important for studying SINS navigation system which can fulfill the requirement.This paper is mainly about studying of SINS navigation simulator. Based on this main idea, first the paper discusses the mathematics model of gyro and accelerometer, the initial alignment of strapdown inertial navigation system, the method of calculation of navigation, method of generating flight orbit data in detail. Then the paper develops the system of generating flight orbit data and the system of real-time simulating strapdown inertial navigation with MATLAB/Simulink. The simulating system combines the inertial sensor simulator and strapdown inertial navigation simulator. The result shows that the simulating system is steady and reliable and the simulating result is satisfying.
