The Research, Design And Realization Of Security Model Of Peer-to-Peer Network

Peer-to-Peer network is a network model rising in recent years, and is now the focus of researches and attentions. Security is a critical and central concern for all network models. Peer-to-Peer network not only involves traditional security problems in Client-Server network model, but also face a number of new security issues that are not typical in Client-Server network.Because of the features of Peer-to-Peer network, it is very complex to solve security issue in Peer-to-Peer network conditions. However, Security has not been taken into count in early period of Peer-to-Peer network applications, and nowadays most of good Peer-to-Peer network application development platforms only provide some degreed of support to develop secure applications. Therefore, it is necessary to design more excellent Peer-to-Peer network security model.This thesis investigates some aspects of Peer-to-Peer network with emphasis on security issue. The main results and contents are as follows:1. On the basis of the introduction and research of P2P network and its applications, the security of three typical P2P applications is analyzed. Then the detailed security requirements are given. Furthermore, the common security requirements of P2P applications are concluded, and it is pointed out that trust is the core requirement among all.2. Firstly, some popular Peer-to-Peer network application development platforms are compared, and it is presented that JXTA platform have the advantage over the other. Then the thesis introduces the architecture, main concepts, and core protocols, and researches the several kinds of techniques used in JXTA in detail, and analyzes the security of JXTA platform; Secondly, trust management system is researched. The features of trust in Peer-to-Peer network are analyzed. Then current researches on trust management are introduced, and the issues which trust management system faces in Peer-to-Peer network are conclude. SPKI/SDSI theory that adapts to the distributed environment is deeply researched.3. On the basis of researches on the correlative theory, this thesis present a trust management system based Peer-to-Peer network security model - SAP2P, and based on JXTA platform designs and implements it by use of Object-Oriented method.
