Today, we are witnessing a new revolution that will shape the knowledge society of the21st century "Digital Revolution" driven by the accelerating convergence between theInternet, broadcast media and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), thisrevolution indeed affects all aspects of our life- has fundamentally transformed workprocesses for service providers, service receivers, traders and consumers, the way welearn, work and communicate with each other.The most challenging aspects of any skilled personnel's career is finding job. A majordilemma employers and employees alike go through are how to recruit a qualifiedpersonnel to mind the vacancies in their Companies or how to secure the right kind of jobrespectively. Recruiting the best qualified personnel or a job search is all aboutnetworking, which translates into letting as many people as possible know what you arelooking and what specifically you are looking for.JOS(JOBS ONLINE SYSTEM)is a Web-Based Application system. JOS allows theposting of a job vacancy, personnel information of jobseekers, updating and editing theprofiles of both the recruiter and the seeker totally on-line. It also allows interactionsbetween the recruiters, jobseeker and even the system administrator through e-mails. Itwill give a common platform to both the employers and employees.In order to make the users extract the necessary information from the data which areembedded in the huge database with ease, the application has a systematic developmentof artificial intelligent (AI) and/or a data mining tools that will aid the users to have anapplicant browse capability to visualized a single applicant or a trial pool capability toreview all applicants who meet selected criteria from the database prior to the posting ofa job vacancy or resume of a jobseeker. Also a recruiter can have access to a jobseekersresume. These are the new things JOS seeks to offer.It is my aim and intention to also provide on this system news and advertisement of thecompanies, provide a forum where a e-society members can share experiences andinformation and also a platform for the users to contact an expert for counseling.JOS holds the promise of making job search, recruiting skilled personnel, establishingindustries either by government, private investor, and finding information about theunemployed in the society more simple and easy at a lower cost to the implementer,jobseeker and the recruiter. In all JOS when implemented will be a system used withoutdifficulties, interactive and global 24 hour reach within seconds, and all these are specialcharacteristics of the Internet as a marketing media.
