The Research And Development Of Device Management System

Device management (D.M.) plays an important role in a manufacturing corporation. As a part of Jiang Yin Changdian Corp.'s ERP (Enterprise Resource Plan) system, the device management system developed in our project has absorbed the management conception from modern ERP system. After adopting full-device-chain management method, the system provides a full-aspect management throughout the devices' purchase, using, maintenance and discard. Through the flowing and management of related data with other branches in the corporation, the system provides a kind of high-efficient modern device management.Firstly, work flow has been investigated thoroughly. Based on it, framework and data flow have been analyzed and data dictionary has been built. And though concept design, logic design and physical design, a database for D.M. system has been designed. In order to achieve the goal of optimizing database, normalization and denormalization have been used together in logic design, which have given consideration to normalization of logic and performance of database.Based on the present condition of the company, the software system has been divided into device management subsystem and spare management subsystem. The former mainly includes the modules of device, mould and personal management and accomplishes the full-work-flow management. And full-device-chain information query, device's efficiency analysis and rapid fixed assets encoding, etc have been studied. The latter mainly includes spare part stock control management and consuming management. With the use of ABC analysis method in spare consuming management and regression models in spare purchase forecasting, the system not only can be used on data management but also can be used on the analysis and forecasting of some problems in the spare management, through which the speed of the decisions process and the correctness of the decisions are greatly improved. The D.M. system, which uses stable and high-speed Oracle 9i as background database and adopts easy-using Client/Server mainframe, is developed in Delphi and PL/SQL environment.
