The TCP protocol, which is widely applied in internet, is unable to satisfy different demands of different business and users since it allocates resources by an balanced rule. Based on AIMD congestion control mechanism, we propose an approach to improve TCP protocol, which can allocate network resources by weight, and test its validity. By this congestion control mechanism, system can supply different services to different business and allocate network resources by weight. The performance of TCP network congestion control could be improved as well. The study is carried out in the following aspects:1, The method of allocating the network resources by weight is proposed and the validity of the method is tested by the simulation tools –NS. After discussing how the AIMD parameters affect the performance of network, we give two experimental conclusions.2, The stability of network under the congestion control mechanism with variable AIMD parameters is proved. Meanwhile, fairness criterion of network is given. Feasibility of the congestion control mechanism is also elucidated.
