Digital transceiver is one of the key factors in satellite communication system. As a key module of the digital transceiver, RF front end has great effect on the performance of the transceiver. So the satellite communication system made stringent requirements for the RF front end of the transceiver. Based on the reason above mentioned, it is very important to testing and troubleshooting RF front end of the transceivers.In practical application, how to test RF front end of the transceivers quickly and effectively is very important and stringent. The key factors such as EVM (error vector magnitude) and phase noise, and their effects on the key performance such as modulation quality are analyzed in this thesis. Based on analysises and tests, this thesis introduces a simple and effective way that is used in practice to testing and troubleshooting the performance of the RF front end of the digital transceiver.According to the way introduced in this thesis, an automatic testing system has been built to testing and troubleshooting the RF front end of the transceiver. The useful information obtained during testing and troubleshooting is helpful while improving the performance of the digital transceiver.
