Wide-band transducers are widely useful in many fields. It is important to widen the band of transducers. In recent years, there have been many studies on widening the band of transducer at home and abroad, they put forward many methods that have their own characters how to widen the band of transducer.In this paper, the structure of piezoelectric Sandwich transducer with fore-metal horn is improved. Starting with the simple understandable equivalent circuit, the equivalent circuit of peculiar structure with single hole in the fore-metal horn are derived, and the equivalent circuit of transducer with single hole are educed, and then the resonant frequency equations are derived, and so the relation between the dimension of the single hole and resonant frequency are obtained. The expression of the equivalent mass and equivalent impedance on a side of the transducer are educed, moreover, the expression of mechanical quality factor and band wide are obtained .The relation between the dimension and the parameters, such as the mechanical quality factor, the band wide, the equivalent mass, the equivalent impedance, etc, are obtained. In accordance with these, the author designed and manufactured wide-band transducers, and carried out experiments on them. The results of measurements have a good agreement with the theory.In detail, the context include several aspects:1. The novelty of the wide-band piezoelectric sandwich transducer with single hole is the structure of the front metal plate: There is a horn hole in the traditional piezoelectric sandwich transducer. Beginning with equivalent circuit of the horn with change section, the equivalent circuit of the front metal plate is derived. And the equivalent circuit of the whole wide-band piezoelectric transducer with single hole is obtained by cascaded the equivalent circuit each part.2. Starting with the whole equivalent circuit of piezoelectric sandwich transducer with single hole, the resonant frequency equations is derived by regarding the transducer as A/4 vibrating object; The equivalent mass and impediment of the transducer with single hole are obtained regarding the terminal of the piezoelectric...
