CDMA technique has successfully been applied in the second Generation mobile communications system. The capacity of CDMA communications system is confined by multi-access interference (MAI) and multi-path interference (MPI).MC-CDMA is a very promising technique in the future third and forth mobile communications. However, the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of MC-CDMA signals results in nonlinear distortion and degradation of bit error ratio (BER) performance, which is the obstacle of utilities of MC-CDMA.In this thesis, the methods of reducing PAPR of MC-CDMA are researched. Some valuable conclusions are acquired. The main contents are as follows:1. Reducing PAPR based on using Selected mapping (SLM): Selected mapping is an effective method of reducing PAPR. How to select a phase sequence has a direct effect on reducing PAPR. In this thesis, the effect of chaotic sequences as phase sequences is researched in SLM. The research results demonstrate that chaotic sequences can reduce PAPR effectively and have many advantages. It is more controllable than...
