Estimation of signal parameters is an important research area of signal processingwith growing applications in engineering and intensive research in theory, such asradar, sonar, communication, biomedicine, etc. In recent years, much interest focuseson research and development of parameter estimation based on different applicationbackground. This dissertation involves direction-of-arrival (DOA) and locationestimation for wideband signals in unknown colored noise fields. The essence of coherent wideband source DOA estimation method is analyzed, andthe effect of focusing matrix and noise on estimation is discussed. Then, a novelmethod for improving wideband signals DOA in the presence of colored noise withunknown spectral matrix is presented. The noise-subspace is constructed by arraysignals, and the estimation result overcomes the highly biased space spectral estimation.Afterward, we derive the maximum-likelihood (ML) and coherent signal-subspacelocation estimator for wideband sources in the near field on the background ofnonuniform white noise. By compared the two methods, the proposed algorithms coulddeal with source localization efficiently based on randomly distributed sensors array.Extensive simulations demonstrate the performance of the proposed methods.
