| Wireless Mesh network is a high-rate and high-capability network, it is a new type of distributed network solved "the last mile" and we can consider it as the simple edition of Ad hoc network. For several years, WLAN has developed well, but the propagable distance of its AP is limited, so if we want to set WLAN in a large area, we need lots of APs, which will be expensive. Wireless Mesh network should solve this problem. Because nodes in it could transfer data and doing so can expend propagable distance. As in Ad hoc network, route is an important part in wireless Mesh network. The article studies the routing protocol in wireless Mesh network.Firstly, the article introduces the structure, feature and application of wireless Mesh. Secondly, apply the routing protocol of Ad hoc network to wireless Mesh network. Thirdly, a detailed analysis is made in DSR protocol. Lastly, based on DSR protocol, an enhanced protocol-TEDP is proposed. The simulation results express that when nodes are static, TEDP is no better than DSR protocol. But when nodes move, the delay and overhead of TEDP are all improved. In the last chapter, a routing algorithm based on tickets is drawn into, which can allocate bandwidth request in one route to more routes in order to satisfy the bandwidth request. The article approaches the combination of TEDP and this routing protocol, but the property of combination of them is not still simulated. It is the next work in future. |
