The first part of this paper mainly introduces the principle of the Artificial Immune System(AIS) and the immune algorithms based on upon. Provides a new immune algorithm based on image segmentation algorithm of maxim entropy method. Shows the differences between the immune algorithm and genetic algorithm through the comparison of them, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the new immune algorithm.The last part discusses the develop procedure of Image Processing Unit(IPU) of Image Recognition & Tracking System which auto select the tracking algorithm while multi-IPUs work at the same time. This paper introduces the hardware & software design of IPU and the tuning procedure of the system. Discusses the differences of the centroid algorithm & normalized correlation algorithm and give the advice of improving the system.
