Research And Practise The Unified Authentication System Of Campus Network Base On LDAP

With the rapid development of campus network, the amount of network severs and application systems increases dramatically. However, most systems administrate their users individually, which makes different functional systems for web surfing, email receiving, course enrolment or online education have their own pairs of username and password and complexes the users' tasks. In order to solve this problem, every universities proposes their own solutions which all have various limitations.This thesis firstly study ,compares and analyzes the differences of LDAP and normal relational database.Then ,Combining the campus network's features and other universities applications experiences use LDAP directory service and 802.lx protocol Radius protocol , distributing technique, Meta-Directory, Single Sign On and authentication etc it proposes an integral solution. And we implements squid agent, qmail, web authentication experiments on Linux platform..
