The Design And Implementation Of Information Extraction Engine On Web Tables

With the development of Internet, World Wide Web has become a huge distributed information space, which provides users a massive and valuable information resource. But with Web's rapid growth, quickly obtaining what users need on WWW is getting more difficult because of Internet's opening and heterogeneity. How to quickly, accurately find the needed information from many information resources has become a difficult problem that puzzled the Internet users.In order to solve the problem of finding effective information for Internet, the idea of data mining and information extraction is leaded into the field of WWW information handling in paper. In the field of Internet information handling, one key technique aiming at information extraction on Web tables is discussed in this paper, that is, how to extract concerned information from amounts of text data in Web tables. It will provide a kind of information extraction tool which aims at Web tables and supports the method selection of extracting.The development of the information extraction technique is firstly discussed in this paper, and then information extraction technique aiming at Web tables is also discussed in this paper. It also analysis and gives out the system structure of information extraction engine on Web tables, the key technique and data model concerned by implementing the system. Two main constructed tools in the system are introduced in this paper, that is, the tool of constructing binary tree model and information extraction tool.At last, the project and the improvement of future are summarized.Through testing, the system can solve the problem of information extraction on WWW.
