The Design And Implementation Of A Web-Services-based Login Agent Service

This paper introduces a Web-Services-based Login Agent Service, which provides auser-oriented login agent platform without making any changes to associated Web applications.On the background of a Digital Campus System, this paper first analyzes the chaotic statuses of the authentication work, which pervade in many organizations' network. Therefore, the object of the Login Agent Service is allowing users to "Login once, Run anywhere". Then this paper describes a design scheme of the Login Agent Service, discusses its security mechanism, and introduces in detail a prototype in the Microsoft .NET architecture. Finally, this paper gives an instance of the Login Agent Service that works together with the Digital Campus System.
