With the development of robot technique, soccer robot has become one of the hot focuses in this field. It combines the technique from information, automation, communication and AI and provides a platform to test all these skills.Vision system is vital for football robot system. It is responsible for sensing the environment and identifying all the useful information from it. How to get precise results in certain time are the criteria to asset the performance of vision system. This includes the procedure in color space transform, objects research and targets identify.In this paper, a deep and detail research has been done to analyze the vision system. And then, a faster color space transform method is presented, improving the efficiency of color information proceeding. A new marker design that is used to identify robots is also given out, making the arithmetic easier. According to the characters of soccer robot vision system, a new object tracing method, named dynamic window trace, is designed and implemented in our soccer robot vision system. Experiment results clearly show that this method is efficient enough to meet the time criteria. At the end of this paper, the vision program for soccer robot is designed and achieved through comprehensive consideration and analyze.
