Bluetooth antenna is the connection between system and external world, it takes a grate of affect on the behavior of the bluetooth module. FDTD (Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method) is a method solving electromagnetic problem which accuracy is very good and very fits to solve the problem of complex structure, then FDTD method is very suitable for bluetooth antenna which always is small.This paper researches FDTD method and its application systematically and deeply, submits a sort of new exciting source. Some related experiments have been done and experimental analyses have been applied for several types of bluetooth antenna, the results can help the layout of bluetooth antenna. Below is the contribution of this paper. 1 Building an ideal a -exciting source model under the condition of FDTD softexciting, and deriving a simple and effective calculation formula under theimpedance of FDTD. 2 Giving the comparative study result between the Mur radiating boundary and thePML one, the latter if prefer. 3 The monopole bluetooth antenna has been simulated, and the S11 curve and 3Dradiation pattern have been given. The thickness of the ground board has litteraffection to the antenna performance.4 The 1FA bluetooth antenna has been simulated too, and the affection of several dimensions has been detailed discussed.5 Analyzes the SAR distribution around the monopole antenna and the head model and checks how antennas' near field is affected by the dielectric block. As the deeply investigation of the FDTD method and the application in theantenna field , FDTD method has a great role in guiding the design and the fabrication of the antenna which becomes small and integrated.
