This paper studies chiefly improved quantum genetic algorithm (IQGA) applying to satisfactory optimization (SO) design of control system. Due to the large quantity of complex elements in the practical situation, it is difficult for us to find an accurate math model to describe the corresponding cases, or it is not worth achieving the optimal solution than the cost, and indeed may be that there is no optimal solution in the traditional concept. In this case, a popular strategy, SO method, is chosen. Genetic algorithm (GA) is adapted to search optimal solution in this strategy, so the performance of GA will directly affect the optimal purpose. This paper proposes the IQGA based on the analysis of quantum genetic algorithm (QGA), and applies it to the SO of control system.Chapter one gives the simple introduction to the conventional optimization and SO, as well as conventional GA and QGA. Chapter two discusses the description of the SO and its basic procedure diagram, and gives multi-criterion SO model and several forms of satisfactory rate function. In chapter three, by analyzing the basis concept of QGA and its realization, we propose the IQGA. In chapter four, the application of IQGA in SO design of parameters in PID controller is discussed and good results from simulation experiments and predominant performance of IQGA are shown. Chapter five presents the SO model of multivariable system based on the analysis of LQ problem, and the optimal method of Q and R matrix. The results prove the utility and universality of this method in the practical application.
