Web Cluster Server And Management System

With the development and wide application of Web technology, the performance of Web-based systems is more and more critical. Therefore, high performance and high availability has become a research and development hotspot in Web services. As one of the effective methods, Web cluster server system aims to solve the problem of Web service performance. It transmits client requests to the server in the cluster based on load balance algorithm, and then each server deals with some requests in order to improve the system efficiency. But the current cluster management is command line based, which is difficult to be used. Therefore, techniques and methods of cluster management should be thoroughly investigated, and an efficient easily used cluster management system has to be developed. These are my research objectives. All my research work can be divided into the following four parts:First of all, basic concept, principles, and implementation techniques of the cluster system are discussed. Then, the relationship between request dispatching, load balancing and Web cluster server system are provided. And the disadvantages in request dispatching and load balancing are discussed in detail.Secondly, application area and problems in Web cluster server system are point out. In order to overcome these disadvantages and cope with the problems, a scheme of constructing Web cluster server system is proposed, using packet transmit technology and dynamic load balancing algorithm.Thirdly, the Web cluster system which bases dynamic request dispatching algorithm is designed and implemented on the Linux Netfilter framework, and the test results show that the algorithm can improve the performance effectively. Besides the above, the paper also gives a redundant load balance server solution to improve balance node availability. To improve the Web cluster system management, a Web based cluster management tool, Webadm, is implemented to manage remote Web cluster server , system.Finally, some perspectives of the future research are provided.
