Wokflow_Based Report Management System And Its IDS

First of all,in this paper,we introduce the background of the system designation and relevant technologies,including workfow technology, Application of B/S(Brower/Server)and Security mechanism. We also present the application of the technology and theories mentioned above in our system.Workflow technology is rapidly evolving in recent years,which is widely used in telecommunication,manufacturing,banking,medical business,office automation,software engineering etc. More and more industrial and academic organizations are paying attention to it. We use workflow technology to the formal descriptions in our system.The main work of the author are: the analysis of the requirements of Electronic Report System and the system design and implementation according to the running environment. The system is a distributed and multi-platform system. The host machine is a IBM RS/6000, the web server is a pc server,client are several personal computers. The connection of client and server is based on the Browser/Server system architecture. In this way, costs are reduced for no spending on helping the clients to update their hardware, and it can also reduce the workload of system manager. On the other hand, the extension ability of the system is increased, because Browser/Server mode makes it possible to develop application system rapidly on a lot of system platforms, and the cost of the system development also remarkably reduced. Secondly, we take Workflow technique to describe the system requirements. The Workflow is regarded as an abstract description to the detail operating flow of an enterprise showed in chart, which shows the daily business affairs and management in an intuitional and easily understood way for clients. Furthermore, we can design the system based on the Workflow technique and build the data model for Data Mining. And then, we can produce the data resources file for analysis, including the management and dividend of it. The main task of Data Mining in this system is data sampling, in which we take the way of analysis of many dimension data to break three dimension concept, with the help of revolving, nesting, slice, drilling and many dimension visual techniques, in order to help clients to understand and analyze data intuitively and make good decision-making. The data sampling in this system is accomplished by using the software of Cognos company, named Impromptu and Power-play, to achieve data sampling from database. At the end, we finished the compiling of center server program by PRO*C language and web server program by PHP language.The electronic report management system introduced here accomplishes the accumulation of Synthesize the business system and other information resources efficiently, provide a co-related, high efficient, safe and compact interface and various ways of information transmission. The system has a nice adaptability, meeting the requirement of large amount of data transmission after data centralization. The application in real business shows that the system function is good enough.
